It takes an exceptional candidate to skipper in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. We are not just looking for the best yacht racer or the best sailor, we are also looking for talented and qualified individuals with proven strong leadership and instructing backgrounds.
You will be in charge of a squad of approximately 40 crew, up to 17 of whom will be on board at any one time. With no professional mate or engineer on board, it is up to you to develop the skills and personalities in your team to create a competitive entry in the challenge of a lifetime.

Clipper Training has been developed from the wealth of experience garnered by successfully running six round the world races and is now open to members of the public as well as signed up crew members.
Training on 60-foot and 68-foot ocean racing yachts, inexperienced sailors are transformed into highly-skilled racing yacht crews, learning about big boat sailing, racing and strategy.
