The only global race where media can get onboard

From hard news and sports coverage to human interest features the opportunities for journalists are vast, both onboard the yachts and ashore.

Each of the yachts is kitted out with state of the art communications equipment, allowing crews and media to beam back stills and video footage to media outlets around the globe.

From live link-ups in the middle of the ocean to packed programmes of media activities during port visits, including interview opportunities with crews, skippers and race organisers, as well as the chance for media to join the crew for a short in-port sail, the Clipper 09-10 Round the World Yacht Race offers the media an exciting and varied range of opportunities to cover this unique international event.

It is the only global race in which anyone, regardless of experience, can compete. It is also the only one in which journalists can get into the thick of the action, racing with the crew in order to write from first-hand experience.

Clipper has an in-house communications team dedicated to facilitating media enquiries with the assistance of our host broadcaster and official photographer. If you can’t find the answer to your question in these pages, do get in touch.
