Change of Scenery
28 May 2008
As we started the race from Jamaica to New York we made good progress. Today will be the first time for me to follow rather than be one of the lead boats! It just goes to show that everything is still up for grabs in this Round the World Race.
21 knots of wind, yankee one down and number two up! One reef in and still making 10 knots!
We recorded a temperature of 87 degrees below decks last night, making sleep very uncomfortable! Sitting in the nav station writing this, it is probably a similar temperature!
Spirits are high on Hull & Humber and we continue to work hard at achieving our full sailing potential.
