Confusion and Contentment
12 May 2008
The difference between the clove hitch and the two half hitches is exceedingly vague and confusing, the reason being the two have the same knot form, but one is tied around another object and the other around its own standing parts! Yet the knot brings contentment and security for those who wish to use it.
Confused but content, like the knot life is often confusing but also brings about security in the form of contentment. As you heard yesterday, we settled down to watch The Devil Wears Prada, an excellent evening of entertainment, the film for those who have not had the opportunity to see it is about high fashion and glamour. The ten of us sat there not having showered for 19 days, and the fashion was more worn for at least 10 days not the high fashion in the same sense of the word. Content that we could still appreciate maybe the finer things in life, and soon we would be showering on a more regular basis.
Several days earlier Fi, Nat and myself went through the rather extensive medical supply’s to carry out an inventory and to check stocks etc. For me personally anything medical can bring on a fainting situation. My first thought is there is enough drugs and equipment to carryout an operation of course under supervision; this was confirmed by both Nat and Fi, as we continued with the task discussing how and what each piece of equipment and medication would be used for. We then went on to consult the BNF the medical bible. After several hours of reorganisation everything was in order to give the tablet for the pain or to carryout a proceedure those five years at medical school would be better equipped for. However content knowing that Clipper have all our Doctors details and surely our GP’s would be happy to make an after hours call, it’s the next right the Pacific Ocean.
As food is running low, we are also about to embark on the devil wears Prada diet, which is as you are about to pass out you administer the one cube of cheese. Please don’t call the Doctor we are content and secure.
