Fog, freeeezing, food and fun!
18 June 2008
We’ve had fog for the last two days now. It comes with a mixture of wind, sun or no wind at all!
Freezing, it’s quite cold now so I’m now wearing lots of layers – thermals, t-shirt, jumper, mid-layer and outer layer…. I feel like the Michelin Man waddling around on deck! It’s due to get colder and I’m wondering if I’ve brought enough warm clothes to wear.
Food, the Mother watch has been excellent today – Isobelle is doing a sterling job despite being alone in the galley as Sam is feeling unwell – everybody say ahhhh! We had porridge for breakfast, fabulous pizza for dinner followed by chocolate pudding and custard. Can’t wait to find out what’s for tea! The conversation on deck today seems to have revolved around food, ranging from our favourite sandwich fillings to what will be our first meals back home. Whilst some have mentioned curry, others bacon and eggs but for me it’s got to be my best mates chilli! Vicki cooks it for us on our Girlie Thursday nights in – hope you’re all ok, I miss you and can’t wait to see you all again.
Fun, as spirits are still high on Hull & Humber despite the frustrations of no wind. We’ve also spotted dolphins and whales so far – it’s been fantastic. I’m having a great time.
Big Love to all (more)
