Feeling better

Uniquely Singapore's Xinmei shows sheer exhilaration at surfing down the waves

Ahoy Landlubbers - you those reading from the comfort of solid ground,

Greetings from the Pacific! It was Ohayo to the Japanese islands and then Sayonara yesterday as we sailed east and bade farewell to the land of the rising sun. And sun did we enjoy! Off were the many layers piled on when we left in an almost heroic fashion from freezing point Qingdao. I’m in a layer of thermals and pants for modesty’s sake while Baz proudly strode past in his underpants.

Mei is a happy crew onboard since the appetite came back. Only a couple of days ago I suspected that I was not only seasick but anorexic – oh the thought of food! Eww. Today though, I shared Kai’s enthusiasm for the famous Malaysian Ramly Burger. Many thanks to the caring people onboard who have been encouraging and sorry to the mums, it was not the cooking -really!

Recently we’ve also had some episodes of drama onboard. Credits go to Director Mark and Action Choreographer Ian; although the main cast (combi of watches) never did rehearse for the scenes of accidental gybe and unnerving spinnaker drops. I continue looking forward to (the action and) learning a lot more from the seasoned playwrights.

Mei sends her warmest hugs and regards to mum, pa and bin, the crew who turned up at the airport and the A Team back at ORQ. wink

Hey Girl, finally I read something from you! How was the snow? Did you have fun making snowman? wink

I’ve finally got around to researching for our trip! I can’t wait to meet you guys in Santa Cruz! However there might be a slight change in plans haha! I should have everything firm by the time you reach Hawaii.

You guys are doing great! Slowly and steadily moving up the board. Keep it up!!

Hey give a shout out to Baz for me. Ask him if he still remembers what we taught him during training! Haha! smile

Don’t forget my postcard from Hawaii!!!

Chris

Hey hey Xinmei! smile Greetings from us here with solid land below the feet - great to hear from you that all’s well! I suppose it’s in the true sheep’s style to still don wool (or woolen thermals) wherever they go? Hope you’re having a great time on board - doing exactly what many others could only dream of, or wish they had the guts to do! Enjoy the stars of the Pacific!
