The race is over…
09 May 2008
The race is now over and we find ourselves motoring some 1300 miles to Panama.
After our initial excitement of polling in first place a few days ago the wind played her fickle game and the last few days we have barely seen a breeze let alone a gust. This has meant us finishing much further down the order than we would have liked or even feel we deserved – but that is all part of the experience and we have certainly not let it dampen our spirits.
We now have a new watch system in place which means more rest hours and less ‘on watch’ time. We are currently making a list of all the jobs that need to be done and we will fix and repair as much as we can over the next few days to allow us the maximum time off in Panama.
Love to all

“ Aways Look On The Bright Side Of Life “ Uniquely Singapore. No need to be down hearted Michele, according to my calculations, Uniquely Singapore is running in 6th place overall, thats not bad after 1000’s of miles racing, with plenty of points to be had in the future races.
I for one am Envious of you all, experiencing this adventure, that you will remember for the rest of your lives..... JUST ENJOY..
