Hi to all of our followers, family, friends and many, many loved ones who have shown so much support and care to us all both before and during this adventure which has only just begun for so many.
I am truly astounded that so many diverse personalities, age groups (and, indeed, nationalities!) can bond so well and so quickly - it is amazing what a common objective can create; I feel confident that this will continue and grow stronger - probably because at least half of us are a little bonkers most of the time!
We have overcome our “malfunctions” of a few days ago and eager to chase down the current leaders - we certainly aim to do our best to win this race but we will be very content, at this stage, to steadily climb to be up there with leaders - tell them we are coming! We are on the way to the Canary Islands having just passed Madiera - shame we did not have time to stop for tea and cakes. I have just heard some yells of excitement - whale spouts have been spotted so we may be lucky enough to see sperm whales which abound these waters!
As I write this, the next watch have just gone up on deck - the constant laughter keeps me very happy before I go back to “the ghetto” (the affectionate name we have given our sleeping quarters!) for some much-needed R and R.
Keep following our steady progress and, again, thank you all for the wonderful support - it is fantastic to know that so many of you are thinking of us - we are all fine and very eager to succeed by whatever yardstick we have each adopted.

Hi y’all on Uniquely Singapore - you are going great guns, keep it up!
Terry you sound to be having great fun - very impressed with your blog, not a two dots and a dash in sight!! The only two dots and a dash I have now are Rocky and Hettie careering round the garden with stolen washing - (oh ... that’s 2 dogs and a dash!)

Wow, what I’d give to be on that boat. Win or lose it will no doubt be a great experience. Good luck and make sure you have a great time along the way.

Hey, Dad! Good to hear that things are getting in the groove. Sounds like quality rest is hard to come by - good thing you never get tired! Things are good on the home front. We were up in Inverness this weekend and I enjoyed a beautiful solitary morning at the bench after a hard run up Mt. Vision - what a gorgeous spot you picked. Can’t wait to hear from you.
- Eric.
