The ever industrious and inventive WA Girls (WAGs) have decided enough is enough of going without the basic simple necessities in life. Happy to be pulling their weight when it comes to keeping the BBB sailing around the world: happy with the bunks, shared bedroom space and lack of en-suite bathrooms. Not having hot running water isn’t even a problem to us but we have finally drawn a line at the lack of an on board beauty parlour. And so to ensure optimal happiness and morale is at its highest possible level for the remainder of the race, while the wind has dropped to frustratingly low levels where the ocean once more reflects a perfect mirror image of the cloudless, sunny skies above without interference from waves, shimmers or swell, we have today opened The Blue Room Salon. In doing so, we have scored another first in the Clipper race, for we can find no other account in the history of the race of such an establishment.

No sooner was the diary open for appointments than the first day of trading saw brisk business and the hairdresser and masseuse were fully booked. There are a couple of available appointments for reflexology, pedicure & manicures for anyone that wishes to swim the few miles off the coast of Mexico to the Blue Room Saloon…?

I still vividly remember the aroma of his socks !.

Sounds a great idea for you all, seems some of you might have some dubious friends/rels.However it must come cheap with all that seaweed for the body wraps. Glad your morale is so high and best wishes to you all. Hope the wind is kind to you shortly and you make some headway on those in front of you, mind you just thought what a brilliant tactic you have thought of, those in front might slow down when they hear of your salon and you could make a killing. xxx Mum & Dad Jarvis
