Who’s who on the BBB

Our only other round the world family member besides myself is John Boy or rather John man, having celebrated his 30th birthday during this leg. John is our amazing media mogul!! He is the one that keeps you up to date with stunning photos and comments via our website.

Judy, along with Bruce is a navigator for this leg. Jude is an associate around the world family member; Jude had to miss one leg for personal reasons, then sadly another leg for medical reasons. But Jude is always with us in spirit, keeping in touch via email, checking our progress.

Stuart started as a round the world family member, but took a sabbatical to assist with his upcoming wedding arrangements, but thankfully the draw of the BBB family had him rejoin us in Santa Cruz.

Pete started with us in Liverpool, he left us to go back to life on the high wire (he is a part time trapeze artiste); he has now rejoined us as watch leader.

Nicky is sadly only with us for just one leg, but keeps us all up to scratch in the fashion stakes despite loosing her luggage, she sets the bar pretty high in the glamour stakes for the BBB.

Sharon and Trudi both joined us for this leg only; they have added a new dimension and provided some new stories to listen to during those long night watches.

Last but by no means least (in more than one sense of the word) we are delighted to host young Jack! He is by far the youngest of our somewhat geriatric crew and makes up for all our failing joints, and worn out bodies, but effortlessly hoisting sails single handed and throwing spinnakers up on deck.

Billy Hawes
