Former crew members explore the new Clipper 70

Crew members from every edition of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race assembled at St Katharine Docks today to celebrate and explore the latest generation of Clipper Race yacht, the Clipper 70.

Participants in every edition since the race’s inception in 1996 gathered in London and were treated to a brunch as part of their membership of the Clipper Race Yacht Club.

The Clipper 70, which has been showcased at St Katharine Docks for the last week, is the third generation of yacht to take part in the Clipper Race after the Clipper 60s, and more recently the Clipper 68s, each circumnavigated the world four times.

The Clipper Race Yacht Club was set up by the late former race skipper and Commodore, Colin de Mowbray, whose vision was for crew members to continue the bond built during the race.
