Henri Lloyd has won the Ocean Sprint in Race 2, with a time of 29 hours and 55 minutes, securing two extra race points, which could prove invaluable as the team look to climb the overall race standings.

Chinese entry, Qingdao was the closet challenger with a time of 30 hours and 42 minutes, some 47 minutes slower than Henri Lloyd. The slowest team took some five hours longer to complete.

The Ocean Sprint is a time trial between two lines of latitude and offers the quickest team two race points.  These points are added to the team's overall points total, potentially allowing them to move up the leader board. With the competitive nature of racing a matched yacht, fleet points gained during the Ocean Sprint could be the difference between the overall podium positions.

Henri Lloyd were clearly looking to improve their overall ranking as they currently occupy joint eighth place with Derry~Londonderry~Doire, following the first race to Brest, France.
Once the Race Office has ratified the Race Declarations which includes race positions and Scoring Gates, all points will be added to the overall standings. You can view these here.
