PANAMA TO JAMAICA

Race re-start: 14 May 2014
Estimated arrival: 16 May 2014

2 Days

Once the fleet has transited the 51 miles of the Panama Canal, the yachts will set off on a one-sided upwind battle north. It is normally not possible to lay Jamaica in one tack, which will result in some close quarters tacking just to the south of the island.

Once Jamaica is left to port there will still be light airs punctuated with wind holes to contend with and this one really isn’t over to someone crosses the line just off of Errol Flynn Marina.
