Partnerships lie at the heart of De Lage Landen. To engage key customers worldwide, Team Sponsor De Lage Landen hosted customer dedicated programmes across various harbours during the Clipper Race route, enabling customers to experience sailing activities together with onshore hospitality events.
At its home port of Den Helder in the Netherlands, the two-day programme gathered the company’s top 70 European customers for an exciting six-yacht inshore regatta. Kicking off the event, the group witnessed the premier cinema screening of a Clipper Race and De Lage Landen partnership film, before receiving their race briefing from the Clipper Race Director. Together with their respective regatta skippers, the six teams participated in a race tactics planning evening ahead of the regatta following day.
The six-yacht regatta was highly competitive even before the crew hit the water! The essential team spirits as well as the camaraderie on board proved an ideal environment for relationship development.
A prize giving dinner offered De Lage Landen’s customers the opportunity to celebrate in a high-end environment and cemented relationships with the company for the longer term.
In Derry-Londonderry, over 100 dealer customers flew over from the Nordics region for a similar regatta race. While in Singapore, key customers from the Asia region as well as customers from the Netherlands were invited to experience the Clipper Race events.
