As the Official Timekeeper of the Clipper 2011-12 Race, Rotary was already enjoying worldwide recognition. However to launch a new range to an even wider audience across global markets, it elected to leverage its partnership of the event by filming a TV advert aboard the sponsored fleet.
Proving the ability of the watches to withstand the elements at sea and then moving the scene to a celebratory evening dinner in an upmarket restaurant, Rotary was able to demonstrate the durability of its watches along with the stylishness of the new range. Most importantly it was also able to showcase how its timepieces are becoming the leading choice amongst ordinary individuals looking to achieve extraordinary things.
Rotary reported a healthy 20% growth in sales during 2012 aided by the TV advert and the brand’s exposure through the Clipper Race partnership.
