Henri Lloyd was founded in 1963 in Manchester, England, manufacturing high quality foul weather clothing for sailing and outdoor activities. The family run firm soon developed a reputation for innovation and technical excellence as well as style and comfort.
Proud of its history and reputation for Intelligent Innovation, over the past 50 years the company has pioneered many firsts in garment design and development. Today the ethos is the same, with Henri Lloyd pioneering the use of new fabric systems and design features to enhance performance and wearer comfort.
Henri Lloyd has been the Clipper Race’s Technical Clothing Supplier since 2005 and we're looking forward to expanding our involvement this edition.
We know from the past 50 years that there is no greater test for foul weather gear than a global circumnavigation to demonstrate its true quality, but this is the first time we have taken the team sponsorship of a global racing yacht and supported an individual team on an entire voyage.
We want to demonstrate the performance and comfort as well as the technical features and durability of Henri Lloyd sailing clothing.
The Clipper Race has to be one of the most challenging races on the planet. It is every sailor’s dream to sail around the world and is a dream that I share.
