Good morning,

05:11: Just been woken up to no wind and blue skies off the north coast of Scotland, and been handed a bowl of warm porridge and on my request 'sh*t loads of honey' - happy girl again.

Last night we had an amazing kite run past the Butt of Lewis and managed to sneak past a number of boats, to experience a view that is not one I’ve really seen much - at least five boats behind us!! This part of the leg has been a whole new experience for me as we are racing in such close quarters with pretty much the whole fleet, and it certainly makes it a lot more interesting than bobbing around in a big blue or more likely grey ocean all by yourselves!

So it's all to play for...and not what I expected from the northern Scottish coast - no wind, warm and sunshine.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the city of Derry for their hospitality and in particular our team hosts Roco. They fed us, watered (champagne'd!) us and pampered us, with a really gratefully received hair wash and head massage - serious luxury after slumming it on board. I think it's safe to say we all thoroughly enjoyed our stopover.

We only have a handful of days left on board so I expect this is my last blog. I have had an incredible adventure with Da Nang- Viet Nam and my wonderful crew and will be sad to say goodbye. Luckily there are now people all over the world to go and sofa surf with, not to mention a promised reunion on the beautiful island of Madeira (!!!) it's a slight ‘de ja vu’ moment at the moment but I’m sure we'll be on our way again soon to chase the others down and get to Den Helder.

Lots of love to all my family and friends and huge hug to my wonderful sis for making Derry even more special, hope to see some of you in London
