Crew Diary - Race 11 Day 11: Panama to New York

“Are we there yet?”

“Not far to go now!”

“But that’s what you said yesterday.”

“We are a bit closer now.”

“How close?”

“Well give or take the odd wind hole, thunderstorm etc. we should be there soon!”

Ok, you get the picture I am sure.

Yes, we are nearing our goal after what has proved to be a long haul and all onboard look forward to a little respite from the eat, sleep, sail watch routine. Everyone here has pulled together well but some signs of tiredness and tetchiness are beginning to show through. Rest is however not far now and the sun is shining and the wind steady (for the moment).

We thank all our families, friends and supporters for their encouragement and look forward to meeting those who are able to join us in NY. For those not able to be there we send our love and best wishes.
