Hi from Derry~Londonderry~Doire,

We're still making good progress towards Ireland and we seem to be fairly fast at the moment, despite a few small issues with a few of our sails which slowed us down a little (everything has been repaired for now).

I'm sure everyone is now aware that the race has been extended, to the delight of some of the Irish crew on-board who have always wanted to sail to Rockall (it's the little things that are important!!!), and to the disappointment of others who just want to finish in the lead as soon as possible.

Conditions on board are still very damp below deck and cold/wet on deck – I'm not sure which is preferable. In any case everyone is so focused on putting in the best possible performance we would put up with just about anything right now. Approximately three days of sailing left and we only need to hold onto our slender lead for a little longer (750 miles).

We have all been celebrating Wales getting through to the semi's with Rich (our professional media guy on board and Welsh man.) Well done Wales and good luck in the semi's!!!

See you all in Derry~Londonderry~Doire soon for sunshine and celebrations (and a big fry up!).

Bye for now.

Dion.
