Crew Diary - Race 6 Day 10: Hobart to Whitsundays
15 January

Our sails are filled our course is planned
Airlie Beach is our next stop on land
With Skipper GT and First Mate Wayne
We're giving our all for that taste of champagne.

For me Airlie will be a change indeed
I’ll be switching to cruising with less speed
After 6 months I’ll be leaving the boat
So time to reflect on my journey afloat.

Sleeping at angles with feet in cave lockers
Jobs - deck cleaner bilges and even a blogger
Cooking with pots flying hot and steamy
Memories of dark nights starry and dreamy.

Dolphins and flying fish and the occasional whale
But ultimately it’s the Crew with whom I sail
That give humour and support at all times
When the going is tough rough or sublime.

My Watch Leaders Nell, Mike B, Scott and David Loe
Who've given great leadership wherever we go
Other crew there are too many to tick
But a call out for Bill, Toby, Sarah, Saj, Simone and Mick.

So a break for me while I follow my heart
To spend time with Paul and have a new start
But wait I don't want this adventure to end
I'll be back in Seattle so fair wind wishes I send.
