It's another day done for us on the high seas, even though I can't seem to remember what day it is. Our watch system rotation doesn't take a full 24 hours to complete so while it may feel like a day is done, whenever it’s your turn for a long sleep to arrive there is really three or four more hours that get rolled into the next rotation. Anyways that’s how I see it and I am always looking forward to getting that long sleep even though it may be in the middle of the day and in 30 degrees of heat.

Today’s highlight was eating cinnamon raisin rolls after watching Heather happily make them early in the morning. She said they could have used more sugar but they couldn’t have been more delicious.

This week's highlight would have to be helming through my first squall where the boat heeled nicely over and it felt like 45 degrees but was probably closer to 30 degrees on the inclinometer. While it felt like the boat was on the verge of breeching, as the wind continued to blow harder neither the Skipper or our first mate seemed worried so it was likely just another day for them.

Other than that, life on board seems to go by quickly as after each repetition of eat, sleep, sail and repeat brings new experiences and growing excitement for the wind that is yet to come.
