We’re pretty much 24 hours into Race 4, i.e. Leg 3 into the Southern Ocean. All is well on GoToBermuda, but a few people are still in the process of finding their sea legs, or should I say sea stomachs.

The race start was a blast for us and we showed what GotoBermuda is capable of upwind. It was very sad to see that the two boats Visit Sanya, China and Punta del Este were involved in an entanglement.

Just like our race out of Punta del Este, we started off with fair winds and sunshine. We’re not under any illusions though, fun conditions are forecast from tonight onwards. This should test our cabin leak seal, which has held up so far, a bit more thoroughly.

The boat is crammed full of scrummy looking food and treats. We do seem to have bought self raising, rather than plain flour for baking though. I guess that we’ll be baking cakes rather than bread. Any self raising recipe suggestions out there?
