Well the Dell Rugged Latitude Ocean Sprint started during the night so it is GAME ON… The boat is so heeled over (more so than I have ever experienced) that everyone is crawling around the boat on their bottoms, water is crashing in even with the hatches pulled shut and I am having to starfish the walls and seats of the galley just to put some cereal boxes away. I am on Mother duty with Tim today, we are keeping lunch and dinner simple because we cannot manage anything else on this angle without getting injuries.

The ''One hand for you, one hand for the boat'' rule means that tasks requiring two hands are tricky. Try and put toothpaste on a toothbrush with one hand and I'll give you a medal. I combat this by wedging my legs into the correct position so I am hands free then I hold my breath and pray that a wave doesn't come along in the 5 seconds it takes me to complete the task.

It is a battle, if life is uncomfortable down below, the speed of the boat will be good (greater chance of winning). If you are comfortable down below the speed isn’t as good (less chance of winning). So you ask yourself, would you rather win or be comfortable? I know as a team which one we'd choose - and hopefully when we arrive into Subic Bay in a week or so that will be clear.

In other news/random thoughts, a bird decided to poo on our Code 2 Spinnaker. The way the main sail is stitched at the foot resembles a man meditating. I love listening to Harpo recite Rudyard Kipling's poem ''Smugglers Song'' I have saved 3 flying fish that landed on our deck by throwing them back into the sea (or so I hope) we sailed through the Mariana Trench, north of Papua New Guinea, where the water is a staggering 10,000 meters deep!

Well Subic Bay is just around the corner, we aren't really sure what the Philippines will bring but we know it will be fun! Looking forward to catching up with family & friends soon, if I manage to get out of the shower.

P.S. Fiona, no one has heard of Scattergories, can you believe it? Did Mum & Dad just make this game up?
