Well this blog has been a long time coming. Almost an entire year since I left home last year to head to Gosport and begin prep week to make CV23 our home. We certainty accomplished that! Over the past year we have added all our little touches, made countless memories, lived through the good times and the bad with the people that have become our family.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who got involved in my journey the list is endless but I want to especially mention my family who have been absolutely incredible sitting for hours listen to me tell them about all my worries and all the cool thing I have seen. I genuinely could not have done any of this without your support.

The others that are important to mention are every single crew member that stepped foot on CV23. Each of you have shaped this trip in your own way – you have inspired us, brought back our love of sailing when times got hard, brought us new life and stories to listen to and without you all we would not be the team we are today. So thank you so much for making this experience everything I hoped it would be.

Finally I would like to thank all of the Clipper staff and Maintenance Team who have worked exceptionally hard all over the world to do as much as possible for us. They have now become friends and we really appreciate the work you have all put in!

Sorry this blog is so short but its only day two and I will get sea sick if I try and type any more.

Lots of Love always to Mammy, Daddy, Danielle and Connor xxx
