Race 12 - Day 15
Crew Diary - New York, USA to Derry-Londonderry, Northern Ireland
05 July
3 points in the bag for sure.
It has been a very smooth sail so far s we embark
slowly to Derry-Londonderry. Life on board has been totally different and the
style of living is such an enormous experience. The entire crew is happy
despite losing a member of crew to chest pains. It has been fun. The most
exciting fun is that my watch (Gin and Tonic) want to learn to dance and slowly
picking it up. Beware of the dance moves coming up.
And then another ordinary day was upon us and had a
very lovely day with my wonderful watch. I was a choir leader teaching Sophie,
Hollywood and Trudy our Sapinda songs and that went very well. I have the best
singers throughout the fleet. We are called Superman and the Kryptonites.
One highlight that just happened, on the 4th of July I cooked supper alone and baked
bread too. I'm so happy. Thanks to Kat and Tatty for cooking a meal that
reminded me of home.
I have learnt that life is beyond materialistic
things, but how you spend it with different people. I have a super fun team,
very energized and cool. Gaz and Andy will always kill you with jokes to keep
us happy. It is unfortunate that I hardly spend time with king. We are having
fun and I saw whales and a shark for the first time. It was so cool. Derry-Londonderry here
we come. Beware the ambassadors.
We might be last but we are having the time of our
lives.
