The Last Push
We left Londonderry, Derry, Daigh with good memories. The people were
very friendly and hospitable especially in our adopted Clubhouse, The Dungloe.
With quite a number of former crew, friends and family it was a great
stopover. In many ways it felt like the end of the race, but we now
making our way down the West Coast of Ireland out into the Western Approaches
before we turn up towards the real finish line in Liverpool. It has been
mixed conditions, with the last 24 hours on the lean, which has plenty of challenges.
We have most of the fleet in sight, most of the time although we had light wind
and slipped back. We are all working hard to bring us back up the grid once
more!. Only two and a half days left. For the RTW's and the multi-leggers
this is bittersweet. The end of our adventure and the return to 'normal' life.
What we have all appreciated are the mails and support that we have received
from family and friends throughout..
See you all very soon
