There is a word, or two words, that is on everyone's mind at the moment: Windhole, wind hole. We are progressing nicely towards Seattle, dry and warm, and yet the dreaded thing is still lurking. Does this delay the steak? No one really wants to say much about it, don't want to provoke anything... just keep the fingers crossed.

The mood on board is noticeably lighter. The trials of the last weeks are nearly over. We shall have been at sea for 28 days, gone through total calms, and massive storms. And we are still there, smiling and laughing, a bit of banter flowing. This is the mighty PSP Logistics and Clipper Race spirit.

Food is becoming inventive. Latest fad is the Apricot Jam wrap. Not bad, when the last batch of bread has been baked. But we do still have plenty of tinned Tuna! Chilli con Carne without the Carne and Chicken surprise (you would be very surprised if there was chicken in it).

Just a few hundred miles to run

Catch you in Seattle
