Hi dear readers, family, friends and Qingdao supporters.

Today I would like to share with you an amazing discovery I made from sailing in the middle of the ocean. Last week as I was on my night watch, a new day was awaking. Through a magnificent sunrise, I found myself contemplating the beauty and infinity of the sky and the sea surrounding me. I would have like to take hundreds of photos of this unique moment.

Like most people, I have been used to look at the sun set or sun rises with only a 90 degrees vision or so of that moment and never pay attention to what is behind me. For the first time in my life I have become conscious of 360 degrees sun rises and discovered the beauty of the moving light in the morning and the purity of the colours .

The craft of drawing and painting is in the art of bringing up the light. I feel an artist could paint or draw hundreds of different pictures of the sea and the sky alone together. I was seeing not only one sun rise but a succession of sun rises; with variations of colours and movements of the clouds and variations of light on the waves of the sea. I was seeing the clouds and the waves as dancing together through perpetual movements.

With the discovery and consciousness of the light surrounding me, I felt I had discovered and free’d up the beauty of a form of light inside of me. Wonderful moment of peace, joy and contemplation probably unique to the middle of the ocean.

May you all have a wonderful day.
