Crew Diary - Sanya Crew

Sanya Crew.

Su’s the one who sews the sails and sometimes makes the tea,

And Ed’s the one with Irish brogue who laughs so readily.

Then John ‘Nav. Station’, loves to talk and tell you how it is

And Dicky, queasy, Essex boy, cuts hand with knife, (yes, his!).

There’s Afshan too, goes up the mast and loves to wear the kit,

And Carl who cycles and makes boats and knows, well, quite a bit.

Barry’s the one who crunched his eye which did look quite a sight

And Rick who takes a look when ill, and says ‘you’ll be alright’

There’s Richard, squeaky shoes we hear when walking up on deck

And Tom, Italian-bred we know - sounds English, what the heck!

Michelle who loves to paint her toes, a lovely Sanya blue,

Which Su and I thought looked quite fab so copied blue toes too.

There’s Clyde, the fixer – anything, just give him string and fork,

And Bruce who loves to quote a lot and isn’t from New York.

Of course we have our AQP, Spanish Jorge, (garlic bread)

And Guan, our photo genius who’s got a bright red head.

And last not least we’ve Seumas who, it’s said is only 12,

I think he knows too much for that but thought I wouldn’t delve,

He sorts us out and tells us off but runs our boat so well

I couldn’t wish for a better crew and that’s my tale to tell.
