Are we there yet - no

Will we be there soon – soon enough

How much further to go – less than yesterday

by Keith Williams – now known as Kiwi as there are two Keiths on this leg.

Was informed or should I say reminded just as I went up for my 6 hour watch that I was blog today, so for the last few hours have been thinking of what to write/say, and have come up blank – but here goes.

Had a shark come and cruise by us yesterday (huge bugger he was) actually he nearly swam into us – am going to assume Skipper Ian has mentioned it, in his blog, as he was helming at the time.

Over the last few days the sun and the stars have poked themselves out, taken one look at the conditions and said – yeah nah – and gone back behind the clouds. We are all looking forward to having some sun to warm us all up and dry out our foulies and de-chill our fingers, toes and bones.

Was just thinking that we will be doing this all over again on Leg 3 Cape Town to Fremantle, but think it will be colder, wetter, higher seas and will be longer than what this leg will be – am wondering how much it will compare with the North Pacific from the last race as that was bloody cold, even for me!

Oh yeah and YES the All Blacks didn’t make the Rugby World Cup final, but another Southern Hemisphere team did and won – congrats to the Springboks – which means that the Rugby World Cup stays in the Southern Hemisphere for another four years – yeah ha.
