An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Clipper Ventures team as a Crew Recruitment Co-ordinator.
Clipper Ventures is a unique global sporting events company with a fleet of 70 foot yachts currently taking part in a eleven month circumnavigation – the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race - as well as a fleet of 68 foot yachts used for training and Corporate Events.
The Clipper Race has a unique business model which takes people from around the world, from all walks of life and all ages, and gives them the opportunity along with the training, to experience extreme ocean yacht racing.
Joining an exciting and high energy department within the Clipper Ventures organisation, the position will offer the right person the chance to develop and make the role their own. We are looking for someone with a flexible attitude, great team ethic, sound organisational and administrative skills, and a cheerful and friendly disposition.
Working as part of the Recruitment Team you will be responsible for all aspects of administration, processing race enquiries and posting out information, organising interview sessions in the UK and diary planning phone interview sessions for our overseas applicants. You will need to be able to both input data into our Content Management System as well as interrogate it to run reports. Good operational knowledge of all basic office systems is vital in order to draft documents, create spreadsheets and reports.
You will organise staffing for our recruitment events ensuring that all contractual documentation is in place and that relevant joining instructions have been issued. Booking venues for talks and meetings and raising purchase orders is also part of this varied role, as is an awareness of Data protection requirements.
A confident, clear and personable communication manner is vital as you will be dealing with potential Clipper Race crew from all corners of the Globe, from students to CEOs, at the very start of their adventure. Flexibility and adaptability is key to this role and the ability to keep a clear head when working under pressure.
This is a full time roll and you will be office-based at our Gosport HQ however, you may occasionally be required to help run interview sessions in London as well as be involved with UK boat shows and events such as the UK start and finish of the race. The chosen candidate will work closely with other members of the Recruitment Team towards organisational goals and also work within the wider organisation, especially with the Crew Team and Training Office. This role will report to the Recruitment Director.
Having existing knowledge of the Clipper Race, through either taking part as crew or being involved as a crew supporter, would be highly beneficial but not essential.
