Fleet departs Panama ahead of Race 12 Start

The Clipper Race fleet has departed Panama ahead of the start of the race to Jamaica. The nine yachts which were berthed at Shelter Cove departed the marina at 1900 local time and will rendezvous will GREAT Britain, Invest Africa and Mission Performance once they complete the transit of the Panama Canal.

Race 12 is due to start at approximately 0700 local time (1200 UTC) and will be a Le Mans style start.

The fleet is expect to arrive in Jamaica between 17 and 18 May and will be berthed at Enrol Flynn Marina.
