Race Village is hive of activity

London St Katharine Docks, the home of the Clipper 13-14 Race fleet until Sunday 1 September, is a hive of activity after the Race Village officially opened yesterday.

The twelve 70-foot yachts will be berthed in the central London marina until they depart to start the 40,000-mile race a week today.

Race Village includes international cuisine from the Good Food Market, live music, face painting, Old Pulteney whisky sampling and the Harken coffee grinder challenge at the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust stand.

Free boat tours of the fleet are also available until Friday from 1100 until 1800 daily.

The departure of the fleet will be streamed live online, to keep up to date with all the events and news follow @ClipperRace and the official hashtag #ClipperRace.
