Sir Robin said, “Rickety Bridge has played an important part of our visit to Cape Town, providing the crew with an excellent selection of wine and hospitality enjoyed by all. I am extremely pleased that they have extended their relationship with the Clipper Race to become as an official Team Partner of Invest Africa.”

Jan Van Huyssteen, Managing Director of Rickety Bridge winery, said, “We were very keen to get involved as a Team Partner of the Clipper Race; as a small winery battling out there in the sea of much bigger wineries this helps us to stand out. I believe it is the spirit of independence, challenge and adventure that has drawn us to want to be a part of the Clipper 2013-14 Race.”

The Rickety Bridge winery currently produces sixteen exceptional wines, from Rosé, Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc to award winning Method Cap Classique, Shiraz and Cabernet, and their stunning Rhone style blend, The Foundation Stone. Rickety Bridge wines will be served up at official events during the Clipper 13-14 Round the World Yacht Race.

The fleet will depart the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa on Monday 4 November from 11.30 local time. Race 4 to Albany, Western Australia starts at 14.30 local (12.30 UTC).
