Race 9 is 2500 miles up wind so it is probably going to feel longer than they say. We expect the winds to pick up as we reach Taiwan, and there will be short, steep waves so that’s going to be the challenge – negotiating those without breaking the boat.
The crew look forward to every race start, they are prepared and ready to face what is coming. They know the reception in Qingdao will be big. It is an exciting thought but we have a lot of miles to go first before that point so right now we’re just focusing on the race and what lies directly ahead.
We are doing better and better in the races. We’re growing and developing well and we hope to keep that climbing form and slowly crawl up into the upper half of the rankings.
