Chris Hollis - PSP Logistics
What an exciting finish to a tough race. It was one of the toughest races I have ever done. The fog was so thick that Team Garmin was only 50 metres from us on the radar and we could not see them. We could hear them talking and performing a gybe. The constant monitoring of the AIS (Automactic Identification System) and Radar, and constant sounding of the ship fog horn which consists of 1 long blast and 2 short blasts every 2 minutes ensured we knew exactly where each other were.
As far as results go for Team PSP Logistics, we are unsure but whatever it is we know we raced 150 per cent. A race that was dominated by lights, thick fog, and tough tactical calls will end with a sense of achievement for all across the fleet. It is great to see the fleet so evenly matched; I think we all finished with a 7 mile radius. Great racing, until next Monday!
