Brilliant day. We have had very nice winds and good surfing conditions, beautiful sunshine and lovely starts to steer by. GoToBermuda is finally sailing in double figures, and with Nick and the crew of Zhuhai just ahead of us, we have been chasing really hard. Not an easy task with that team. Either way, it’s great fun and has got our crew moral right up. I think all of us were beginning to get really bored of light wind sailing.

So now we need to get south of the islands before the high pressure ridges in again, which is also not going to be an easy task. But with the way things are going on board we will do our best and hopefully succeed. Otherwise it is back into the light.

Just to improve our already high moral Heather Broadbent baked some flapjacks for our night watches. Well, so much for losing any weight on this trip. Not complaining mind you :)

The crew are now well and truly settling into the watch system and we had a crew meeting to allow any venting, complaints and suggestions to come out and to my real surprise nothing was brought up. Only an interest in our updated plan and how we are looking at passing the islands. What was requested by all, was that I teach them how to use a sextant. So watch this space for nautical navigation updates. We are going back to the days before GPS and Satellite comms :)

So for GoToBermuda we head into our next hurdle, with sextant in hand.

Cheers
