Hi all,

Well, I hope this is my last blog of Race 3. However, with our slow hard progress into this real Cape SE gale, it may well not be. We are currently fighting/slamming/banging our way passed Cape Town, not even being able to aim at it, as the swell is at the wrong angle for us and if we do aim for the finish, we slam so badly the boat stops. So, we fight the good fight and keep pushing on. The poor crew are really exhausted and although knowing this was coming, it still does not make it any easier when we are in it. There is also no light at the end of this tunnel, other than the finish, as the wind seems to be here to stay.

Dinner has become cup a soup, as the idea of trying to boil pasta, or rice in this is a no no. This of course is also not good for moral...lots of hard and sad faces. They will get better as the finish line draws close.

So hopefully cheers from us for this leg.

Wavy, Fabian and Crew
