Morning,

It’s been a great start following a great stopover. We had a really good south wind for the start. not too strong but just nice. This then allowed us to clear Table Bay and start our beat south. This again was a nice 20 knots, allowing us to make good progress south, but...there is always a but...

The green monster jumped on board and at least half of our new joiners have fallen prey to its sickly claws. The rest of the crew has stepped up and helped where they can. With any luck, as we free up a little later today, we will see an improvement in sea legs.

Of course, one of the things about the new race start is the settling in stage, which the multi-leggers are helping with, but for the new guys, it will always be hard, especially at 45 degrees and with sea sickness. So, again, let's hope the free off will help with this.

Otherwise, the stars did make an appearance last night, if just briefly, as did the moon, and the evening was very pleasant sailing.

Let's hope today continues as such.

Cheers,

Chat later,

Wavy, Fabian and Crew
