Morning All,

Another night at an angle and a few sail changes to try and keep to our north easterly heading. Looking back all the time at Mark and Dan on WTC Logistics, when suddenly they have gone into stealth. Now we have to wait for 24 hours to see how we are doing, while they can see us. Good call Mark. So we trim and do the best we can.

Life below decks is quite hard for the guys at the moment, with the changes and the bumpy boat, the crew isn’t sleeping too well, and are starting to get tired (no one said this was easy!). At least the forecast shows a little relief tomorrow, with some downwind spin work. Be good for the guys to get a flat bed and some real kip.

More "skuffians" made for breakfast today and they are definitely are going down well. There’s something really nice about having a semi sweet bread for breakfast. The French have got it right with their morning pastries. Maybe we should look at it for the next leg. The guys baking is so good now, it might be time to step it up a notch, plus everyone seems to enjoy the time in the galley. It is really nice and social, with really bad jokes, some of which are Matt’s (Matt Pettit, Operations & Logistics Manager at The Clipper Race). Nice conversation about anything and everything and a little bit of banter for good measure. All whilst kneading bread.

Otherwise a quiet day for news on board, which, as I have said in the past, is a good thing - no news is good news. So we will just keep trucking ahead pushing as best we can to keep Mark behind, while watching the weather in front with much anticipation and a lot of worry that the forecast hole in the wind does not develop any bigger.

Cheers
