Ello Folks,

Sorry this blog is a little late and it will also be a little shorter. I managed to somehow delete our passage off TimeZero so have been spending my off watch re-running it.

Well, I’m starting to feel myself. I’ve been a bit under the weather of late but I’m through the worst of it now.

Well, it’s been a good day this end, we have been working on trimming techniques and of course, the dreaded zig-zag but a new problem has started to occur today. The "let’s head up and go really fast in the wrong direction" method. But they (the crew) are improving daily.

It’s been a day of always looking over our shoulder. We’re surrounded by I think six boats, all I know is who were watching us (only because I’m watching them). Right, a bit of technical jargon about to start now....

So, peeling kites... some love it, others avoid it like flaking a mainsail. I’m still yet to try a peel but don’t feel the time to try it is now. We changed from a Code 1 Spinnaker to a Code 2 Spinnaker in 6min 55 secs which I thought ain’t too shabby and we were only 3-4 knots slower during that time so I’m yet to be converted...

Right, I’m off to bed. The wind has finally started to blow 15 knots and we are being punted along at a nice 9-10 knots. Any gusts would be welcome, night all 1927..zz

Right, just a quick one before I go to bed (I have to be up in 3 hours ... finally the trades have kicked in! We have almost 20 knots of breeze and are surfing tiny wavelets to around 12-ish knots which makes me very happy. I hope when the day breaks, we will get the less experienced helms people on because it’s been a difficult evening for helming and we must have passed at least a dozen fishing vessels and a few tankers.

Right, good night all.

P.S what was the Liverpool vs Napoli score ?
