Ello folks,

Well, it feels like we have gone back in time 10 days... I awoke at midday to our boat limping along at a few knots the kite just wallowing and the unmistakable sound of the Mainsail flapping and flogging in the wind; I was having flashbacks of the Doldrums Corridor. I'm hoping this is just the calm before the hopefully 'storm'. I know they say be careful what you wish for, but my crew are going spare just sitting around and there focus that of a bats eyesight, so I’d very much please like some wind. This is made all the worse by knowing that the fleet will be licking its sweaty lips at the thought of passing us by. And the worst thing is the light patch of wind we find ourselves in will dissipate by the time they arrive to where we are. So, we are doing our last minute (okay hours) tinkering to make ourselves more comfortable, such as having a deck shower and making sure our bunks are neatly stowed.... (sorry back in a minute).

Sorry, my impatience had got the better of me we were plodding at under 2 knots so we have reverted to the windseeker with marked improvement we are going at least 100% faster but lets hope its not too long before we change again. I feel it's going to be a few hours of helm helm helm, trim trim trim! that was a really quick and slick change by the crew well done all, (an extra ration of squash for all).

Song of the day - Silver firs - Away we go (Neil Slawson and Charles Matthews give this a listen)

A note from the AQP:

Few days ago, Josh was mentioning that a Cormorant was trying to sit on our windex, and indeed, every evening, the bird comes and gives it a try. My take on this is that GoToBermuda, after their misadventure with the above mentioned Cormorant, hired the bird and sent it to raid the rest of the fleet.

Wavy, Fabian, you can call back your creature, the crew is now well train to bird shooing and so far the major damage caused has been a large grey poo in the middle of our Code 2...

PS: no bird was injured during the making of this blog
