Ello folks,

Today is a good day

1. There is wind (which isn't always given on this leg so far...)

2. Jacqueline is on mother duty today, which means that we got pancakes for breakfast. Jacqueline manages to make pancakes in pretty much any kind of sea state and point of sail, which is pretty impressive and we got lucky to have Irish Tapas for lunch. If you have a hard time imagining what it is, think fusion cuisine, bread with lots of butter, potentially fried, with beans, eggs, olives (but not this leg, no olives to be found on board), a sauce...etc. Might seem like a bit of a culinary cultural shock, but it's really good and challenges your taste buds, which on a boat is important to break with the rice/pasta/lentils/bean/rice/pasta routine, couscous has been banned from George Blakeways decree

There are currently 27 fishing vessels and pots in front of me so I’m again afraid that this blog shall be short I think on my off watch I'll try and prepare something of more substance for you tomorrow. Well, we have yet again poked the googly eyed red dragon and they’re huffing and puffing away at our heels as I'm sure you can all see, so we are trying to respond appropriately... more tea skipper?

We’re all a bit tense when the position report comes through; it's hard as skipper you start second guessing what if.. or what about.. then you have to tell each of your crew and see their faces, and then you have to pick the positives out of the situation and make a plan accordingly and then cross your fingers and finish your tea.
