‘ello folks,

Normal service has resumed on board with all the crew settling in nicely, this being said, I think I have heard my quote of the trip already. The on watch was getting ready for a gybe and I heard: 'stop rushing if you don't know what you're doing'. This did bring half a smile to my face. Then this evening I heard that as Jade was drying the bilges she got a very sudden visit from the green monster and when Gerrard woke up to this commotion, he thought he had woken up in a bar!

Well as for the racing it's going well but still room for improvement. We think we were unlucky to not get anything from the Dell Latitude Rugged Ocean Sprint, with the points looking like eluding us by a couple of minutes or so. It's testament to how competitive the fleet is. Well spilled milk and all that, we are already into our second sprint so focusing on that now. It involves us beating as far north for as long as the wind will allow, when we started the course ordered 002 degrees (my lucky number), before it does its infamous disappearing act.

In other news regular readers of this blog will know we get very excited when the odometer trips over, its currently reading 9922 so by the time you read this it may have reset back, no doubt Jacqueline will have started a sweepstake for 0000.
