Ello folks, so it's been a mixed bag of weather over the last 24 hours. We’ve had anything from 12 to 55 knots and semi-blue skies to dark rain clouds, the temperature is still pretty warm. I'm in crocs, foulies and thermals, no mid layer to mention. But something I must mention is to one of my old crew, Sam Carpenter, congratulations! Your Musto hat (thermal peaked) you gave me has completed a circumnavigation! Thanks so much, it's one of the first things I pack into my sailing kit. As for our tactics, we are trying to stay in some favourable current for a little longer but, it does sit in the back of our minds that we must head south. Maybe inthe afternoon we shall journey that way.
As for the food front, I've tried ba-borr-ty (*Bobotie)! Now without sounding like 'if my mother had wheels, she would be a bike', it kind of looks like a South African had a lasagne and thought they would try and copy it back home, but it was really good! It's a layered mince egg and cheese type thingy with a white sauce and I'm going to try and recreate it when I get home. Congrats to Tomsin who are now the proud parents of two new cats! And also, sorry it's late but, congratulations to Bridie and Jo as well!
Right, till next time, Josh Joss and the crew of Ha Long Bay
