A nice evening of sailing last night, we didn't quite get the forecasted squalls but we had lots of practice changing down Yankees and putting reefs in and out.

For a while it was all plain sailing and chat at the helm turned to the holiday season... Adrian Hemmes’ comment as we passed the 300 nautical miles to go mark was: “It feels like I’m driving home for Christmas.” We all tried to hum along, but no-one knows the words...

Then chat turned to our favourite Christmas movies. I myself have an urge to watch Die Hard II again when we stop. Our team co-ordinator, April Rellis, ran through the stopover plan and jobs list for Sydney, there is also a lot planned socially and getting ready for the Sydney Hobart race is exciting.
