As always, the great ball of fire ascended into the sky from the east yesterday morning and delivered another fabulous day at sea, albeit a little cooler to start with.

Our sailing has continued with a full main and our Code 1 Spinnaker up; the crew are clearly becoming more and more comfortable with flying the kite and have thrown in a couple of superb gybes, real pro stuff. Well done guys and girls.

Our rotation in the galley has resulted in some really great food and the Mother Watch, 'day off' from sailing duties, with the only responsibility to turn out meals, is working well. We seem to have more coffee and cake than Starbucks… it’s great!

We watched the sun go down and paint the beautiful cirrus clouds red yesterday. God’s hand at painting I think, and then he (or is it she?) revealed of the heavens of mesmerizing stars above us, really sharp in their definition due to the complete lack of ambient light pollution.

Today we will finally see our 'miles to go' drop to less than 5,000 nautical miles.

Thierry has been busy collecting data to make sure our polars are good and accurate and tweaking the sail plan mm by mm in a very Germanic way (for a Swissman) and adding a fraction of a knot at the time.

We have a Media Crew member onboard and she was trying to interview Francesca, but she had to abort the interview at one point because all she could hear in the background was the jolly laughing of Johnny… we are privileged!

Some of the guys have been doing washing and hanging their clothing out the stern, not really racing style but a practicality of life. I did think about asking them to put batons into their clothes to see if we could create a mizzen sail but concluded that its probably against the rules.

The further south we go the less prospect we have of seeing penguins, shame really because we love penguins.

Hope you have a fabulous day whatever you are doing, we will be focusing on sailing fast, safe and enjoyably.

Usual love and regards from the crew on Imagine your Korea
