Morning all,Skipper Mike here, spoken and written word back in action.

Thanks to Sam for doing yesterday's blog and for all the great stuff you are doing on Charlie Victor Two Zero, Imagine your Korea.

It’s wonderful to see the crew so engaged and motivated to make the yacht sail faster and above for all to have a great time doing so.

It’s been a lovely if not slightly overcast day at sea today, just as hot as you might expect but not necessarily with the direct heat, the only sea life today is flying fish, no dolphins, no whales and definitely no penguins.

We are heading off to Cape Verde just now, not for some swanky hotel with luxurious pools, fine food and wine but ours is nothing more than a teasing glimpse of the north and west shores as we pass but even that's a short while off.

In addition to some fabulous sailing we have set our own record of three kites up in 25 minutes, simply we were flying our Code 1 and we needed to change due to growing winds and the falling of the sun so up went our Code 2 (slightly smaller) only to find that it had a slit down one of the seems so we had to swiftly recover that and up went the Code 3. That left us sailing with less cloth than we needed but at least with a kite flying that enabled our speed to get but us a little (11.7 knots), James and the repair team are busy sewing just now. James, Richard and Robert are doing an excellent job repairing and at 2400 UTC they are still at it and will be for the next hour or so, way beyond the call of duty, thanks guys.

Our boat cold continues its journey around the boat and Gillian is the latest victim. I’m pleased to report that she is up and doing her duties with her normal smile on her face, so be gone Mr virus, no more picking on the crew of Imagine your Korea please.

Some interesting weather ahead, looks like some TRS's (tropical revolving storms) developing further down which appear that they have an intent to be gone by late tuesday so we might get some stronger winds that should prove to be helpful in our quest south.

It might sound early, but excitement is growing aboard for the ceremony of crossing the equator. More of that in future blogs.

We hope to have our distance to go starting with a 3 today/tomorrow rather than the 5 when we started.

When ever I've flown across the Atlantic I inevitably miss an appreciation of just how vast the sea area is, sailing it really does provide that experience of its size and just how magnificent it is.

Hope you have a fabulous Sunday.

If you’re off to church say one for us, if you’re off to the pub have one for us.

Normal love and regards from the crew of Imagine your Korea.
