This being Remembrance Sunday, Nasdaq will hold a short ceremony and silence at 1100 UTC, and hope that our friends and followers around the world will join us in this important occasion, as we turn our thoughts to those fallen in conflicts past and present.

As conditions gradually grow more favourable, Nasdaq seems to be sprouting sails again. Reefs have been shaken out of the Mainsail, and Yankees grown. Starboard Watch shaved 30 seconds off Port's best time for a headsail change yesterday - now we're just waiting for the wind to ease and/or veer enough to make the next change possible and give Port a chance to reclaim their title.

This inter-watch competition is helping to push up our speed, but the key is to ensure it remains friendly and cooperative. This spirit was amply demonstrated in the Nasdaq Bistro yesterday, with a Greco-Turkish collaboration that would put the UN to shame: Alexandra Weaver (Starboard) and Nuri Buyukmirza (Port) served up more delicious food than the crew could manage in one sitting: "Hey Nuri, I think we beat them". Although everyone seemed to have enough tummy space left for some of Nuri's special Lokumn (Turkish Delight).

Cheers, Rob
