Morning!

It's been a lovely sunny day here and progress has been good, although not quite in the right direction but you can't have everything in life! The Code 1 (lightweight spinnaker) got fixed last night so we've had it up today and it looks great.

Thinking that being in a drag race is never going to work, we've decided to head inshore to better current and hopefully better wind where I'm hoping over the course of the next few days we can close the gaps as we should keep the breeze for longer.

By now we'll be in secret squirrel mode (Stealth Mode), mainly because no one will know how badly...or well we are doing, for a while at least!

Morning!

We are ghosting along towards the finish line with just over 80 nautical miles to go as I write. It's been a lovely day today with nice clear skies and decent breeze: Certainly makes a difference from last night!

Fingers crossed that this will be the last blog of the race to New York. Although not able to point directly at the finish line, we are close enough which in sailing terms is more than satisfactory. Cold beers, showers and beds await!

See you on the other side.
